12 Months

Happy 12 months Daniel!!!

His stats: (accurate this time)

Weight: 20 lbs 9oz

Height: 28.6 inches

- The best thing to happen this month was that he got a new pediatrician. She is wonderful and we are so much happier.

- He still loves bath time. He is a little fish in the tub and he loves playing with his toys. I can't wait to start taking him to the pool!

- Dan isn't walking on his own yet but he's still walking along furniture and walls and he'll walk a little bit with people holding his hands. He's starting to get braver and he'll try to just stand without holding onto anything.

- This kids eats everything! (except Hawaiian rolls) He basically just eats whatever we're eating but we do still do regular baby food for when we're in a rush or have to go out just because its easier. His favorite dinner is quesadillas and he loves to have chicken in it :)

- Dan got his first haircut this month. I was a little sad to take my baby to get his haircut. Seeing him sitting in the chair all by himself made me realize how big my baby is getting.

- Daniel is such a sweet boy. He loves to be with people. He laughs at everything and I love when he really gets going and gets the biggest smiles on his face and has a belly laugh! One of his favorite things to do is play soccer. Mike will kick the ball to him and he uses his hands to push it back and he'll chase it around the apartment. It's pretty funny!

- Dan also loves music.Whenever we're at church he calms down during the songs and he'll start to sing with us. Its so cute!

- Daniel has so much energy! He is always exploring and is hardly ever still. He loves to be in the middle of everything and really the only time he gets super upset is when we won't let him do something. (Like if he knows I'm loading the dishwasher and Mike tries to keep him in the living room).

- He loves doors! I don't know why but one of his favorite things to do is find a door in the apartment and just open and close it. Its so funny (and kind of sad) when he accidentally pushes too hard and the door actually closes locking him in the room. Then he just cries out for someone to open the door then laughs and does it again :)

-  Daniel also has a habit of playing with his ears. When he's tired or upset he'll grab his ears and just hold onto them.

- Dan also loves books. He usually has a book in the car with him and usually he'll go to his room a couple times a day just to read books. We also read every night before bed as part of our bedtime routine.

- He's still napping twice a day. Usually for an hour and a half in the morning and then 2 hours or so in the afternoon. He's napping all night still and we rarely hear a peep out of him.

- He has 6 teeth that are through but 7 and 8 are almost poking through. He is still in size 3 diapers and he is wearing mostly 12 month clothes :)

- He loves to play peek a boo, and to play with his airplane. He looks up when we ask him where the airplane is. He still loves his teddy bear and drags it around the apartment with him. He loves to play with his blocks and to play soccer with his daddy. 

Happy Birthday sweetie! You play hard and keep us busy but we wouldn't have it any other way! We love you!
