Length: 30 1/2 inches (5th percentile-he's a shorty)
My baby boy is one and a half!!! When did that happen!?!? Daniel is a sweet boy and makes us laugh and scream everyday. He gives the best hugs and has the best laugh which he shares often.
- Daniel is climbing on everything! He is a little monkey. Nothing is safe...if he wants it then he is going to find a way to get it. Right now we're in the process of moving so we have boxes everywhere so they have been convenient steps for him to practice on. He is super strong too so he'll push boxes around to get them where he wants them.
- Daniel's best friend is Teddy. He got his bear for his birthday and for the past 6 months the two have been inseparable. He carries him everywhere and when we move in a few days Teddy is definitely going in the car. He also loves his lion that he got from his Aunt Stacey, Louie. He has started to carry him around too and has given Louie the ultimate sign of affection and love...he eats his nose and all I have to say is "give Louie and Teddy love" and he goes and gets them, hugs them and bites the noses, its super sweet.
-This boy loves books! He reads all the time and books are always scattered around the apartment if he is awake. Sometimes he likes to have us read to him but most of the time he just likes to sit next to us and 'read' the story to us. His favorite books are: "Ten Tiny Toes", "The Mouse, the Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear", Buzz, Buzz Busy Bees, Ten Little Ladybugs and Good Night Sweet Butterflies.
- Daniel really loves going places. He gets very antsy if he's been home for too long. So we like to take little trips everyday to go do something even if its just walking around the mall. He is very social and waves to all the people in the store and gives them "the look". Mostly he just gives it to family but he gave it to his doctor at his appointment the other day and she thought it was the cutest thing she'd ever seen (or so she said). I hope he keeps doing it because its really cute.
- Most of the time Daniel is happy but we have entered the stage of throwing a fit if he doesn't get his way. Usually he is calmed by just distracting him with something he is allowed to have but if not then we just walk away and usually if we do that he runs over for a hug and snuggle and we say sorry. Then all is well at least for a little while haha but most of the time he is a good boy.
- This past month we took Dan to nursery with me just to let him try it out before he officially starts. He was a little nervous at first but he warmed up once he realized he could play with the toys. Then he saw some other kids and started playing with them. I'm not sure how he would have reacted if I'd left but we'll find out in a few weeks. He likes to play with other kids though so hopefully it'll be fine.
- He is a very passive child. He doesn't get overly upset if another kid takes something from him. He usually just lets them have it and then goes and gets another toy. He is pretty easily entertained which is nice for us and I'm glad he doesn't hit or anything with other kids.
- Daniel still eats like a champ. He doesn't like red sauce but he does love alfredo! He loves fruit and some veggies. He loves eating so much that if we're eating then he assumes he should be too even if he just ate so he sits and begs for food.
Dan's first time trying out nursery...unofficially
We love you Daniel!
