4th of July

This year was kind of a bittersweet 4th of July. We had a lot of family here for the holiday which was great but Mike had food poisoning so he missed out on most of the festivities and the yummy food which was sad :(

The boys and I started the day by going with the family to the Summerlin parade. It was hot but Daniel really enjoyed it. Liam slept through the whole thing in his carrier with grandma! The parade was great! The only disappointing part was they didn't have the dinosaur balloon, I was looking forward to Dan seeing it.

We spent the afternoon inside playing games, eating a yummy bbq and letting the kids play in the pools in the backyard.

That night Mike was feeling better so he was able to join us. Tony went to buy some fireworks for us to do outside, just some little things. Daniel was a little scared of the fireworks and wanted to be held but he was also very tired. He was scared of the sparklers at first but he wanted one once everyone else had one and at least let someone help him hold one. By the end though he was falling asleep on Papa.

It ended up being a pretty good day and once again the holiday was more fun because of the kids! Happy 4th of July!
