We had lots of fun this Christmas. We made cookies (lots of cookies), watched lots of movies and spent tons of time with family.
Polar Express night |
Grinch night |
We went to the glittering lights again this year. This was the most comfortable trip yet. We got to go in the truck which has heated seats. Liam got to sit with me in the front and Daniel got to kneel on the center console and stick his head out of the sunroof which he thought was pretty cool.
We spent Christmas Eve at Mike's parents' house this year since we planned to spend the night to be there Christmas morning. I went to see the new Spider-Man movie with Stacey in the morning and the rest of the day was spent just relaxing and wrapping the last presents. We watched the animated classic Grinch which is a tradition every year. The boys got matching jammies this year and of course we left cookies out for Santa. The boys were super excited, but Liam actually went right to sleep, and Dan took a while. I think he was listening for Santa!
All ready for Santa!!! |
Merry Christmas everyone! I really want to send out Christmas letters, but we just didn't get it done this year. It's been a crazy year though. Here's a quick update.
Liam:
Liam started kindergarten this year! He loves school, especially math. He loves building and inventing. He talks constantly and right now is trying to read signs on the roads since he knows his letters. He still loves music and next year we plan to foster that hopefully with some lessons on the piano. He loves his puppy and anything Daniel likes. He says he wants to either be a fireman or a pilot when he grows up because those are important jobs. He is a snuggle bug but he also has a devious side.
Daniel:
Daniel is in second grade this year! He finished first in May and did awesome! He started this school year finding out he is the best reader in his class! Yay! He loves to read and this year has gotten more interested in non fiction books. Daniel also continued his gymnastics class and is learning so much and really enjoys it. He had his first competition in November and got third place in the boys beginner class. He loves stuffed animals and winnie the pooh. He can be sweet but he has also started taking his older brother role a little too seriously sometimes.
Mike:
Mike is doing great at neck and back! He got a raise this year and he also got moved back to his old office. Even though he works a little farther away, he really loves being back at this office and is a lot busier. He got a truck this year and loves playing with his truck. We love taking trips in the truck- its super comfy!
Nicole:
This was a better year for me. 2020 was the worst year of my life and so the bar for this year was set very low but it was so much better. We went on more trips, including a couple's trip to Disney! I started taking vocal lessons which has been so much fun and I also got a gym membership to EOS which has helped me meet so many wonderful people!
Merry Christmas everyone!
