Merry Christmas

We had a nice peaceful Christmas this year. We were all sick the week leading up to Christmas and were still getting over it on Christmas but we were well enough to really enjoy it :) The boys were so excited on Christmas morning. Mike and I actually set an alarm to make sure we were up before them because I didn't want them to discover the tree and stockings without us. We weren't up long before they were and the first words from Liam were "Did Santa come?" They were so excited. Christmas is just so much better with little ones :)

Liam wanted to help with everyones stuff but after a couple presents they got the rhythm of going one at a time. Then came the questions of why we weren't opening each present to play with it right away.

Thor ornament for me this year :)

After stockings we had the traditional Epperson breakfast of waffles with ice cream and strawberries. The boys loved it! Daniel wanted real strawberries but Liam was happy to eat the strawberry preserves with Mike and I :)

The tradition of everyone getting an ornament continues!

Atom: Dad, Thor: Mom, Truck: Dan, Mickey: Liam :)
We had a great Christmas! We all got wonderful presents (I got a KitchenAid!!!) and the boys couldn't have been happier :) Santa got them exactly what they wanted!

So much good Harry Potter stuff this year!

The boys got what they wanted from Santa this year. Dan wanted a big truck and boy did he get it and Liam kept changing his mind but I think Santa knew what would make him happy

Liam got a Mickey Mouse train :)

The day was filled with playing with toys, eating yummy treats, talking to family and going for a walk/bike ride.

Aunt Stacey and Uncle Doug came over for dinner and to bring the boys their presents.

It was a wonderful Christmas!!! 2018 was a strange year for our family. We lived in 3 different states and ended up back in Vegas. Let's hope 2019 is a great year and we stay put :) Thankfully we got to end the year on a high note!

Christmas pictures

I wanted to get some cute outfits for the boys and take some nice Christmas pictures this year. The boys helped pick the sweaters. Liam liked everything but Dan wanted the red sweater and nothing else. He told me he had to wear red like Daniel tiger :) They did their individual pictures when the other wasn't around. Liam really wanted puppy in the pictures :)

Seriously,,,,can you say heartbreakers?!?!

Getting some of them together took a little more work and a little more bribery because they didn't want to sit still even for a second.

Cookies

We made a lot of cookies during the Christmas season! We made peanut butter cookies with reeces, chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, brownie cookies, German chocolate cookies and sugar cookies. The boys helped with all the cookies but they're favorite to help with were the sugar cookies or as Daniel calls them, the Santa cookies.

Christmas Eve

We started our Christmas Eve by going for a family hike/walk. Daniel and daddy hiked up Lone mountain a bit while Liam and I walked on the trail around the bottom of the mountain. We collected rocks and Liam wanted to walk until we found water to throw them in.... sorry buddy we live in the desert. The boys did find smaller hills of dirt that they had fun climbing and sliding down.

After naps we decorated Santa cookies, we watched the Grinch and we got into our Santa jammies. Thankfully my boys are so used to taking pictures that when I asked them to sit in front of the tree and smile they got it done fast. They're pros at this point.

Daniel had been asking for the entire month leading up to Christmas when we were going to make Santa cookies. So he was very excited when it was finally time to leave cookies out for Santa and he picked the gingerbread man and Liam picked the tree because he frosted almost all the tree cookies.

They were two very excited little boys! Then we read Twas the Night Before Christmas and the story of Jesus birth and went to bed :)

work party

We got to go to Mike's work party! The first work party we've been too and it was so much fun. We ate yummy food, played giant Jenga, danced the night away, watched a few magicians and ate candy at the candy bar!

We had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures :) (I got these from Mike and he only took 3)
