Gingerbread chain

Liam got to pick our gingerbread treat this year. He picked out a gingerbread train instead of a house. We have never let the boys really help with the gingerbread but this year we let them to the decorating. Dan got to do the Christmas trees and Liam did the caboose. They loved helping and for about half the time we actually had them convinced that the frosting was real cement so they didn't eat anything. Then Liam got some on his finger and licked it and just said YUM! That was the end of that haha They were quite proud of themselves!

We had a ward breakfast Christmas party this year. The food was very yummy. The pancakes were very good and they even had a cereal bar which was a hit with Liam. They also had jumbo muffins cut into 4ths and Daniel had 5 of them! The boys also got to see Santa again. For some reason neither of them were that excited about it. They also sang Jingle Bells. Liam went up at first but then went back and sat down. Dan stayed up but apparently forgot that he'd been singing for over a week and just stood there haha

 

Christmas parade

We went to the Downtown Summerlin Christmas parade again this year. Its a cute little parade. Dan was very excited and was high fiving all the performers. He got very excited when he saw the grinch and was yelling "we have to hide". Liam liked the parade but he wasn't as excited as Dan. He wouldn't high five anyone and really only got excited when he saw Santa. They both liked when it started "snowing" though.

Christmas work party

Time for Mike's work party again. This year they did a murder mystery theme which was kind of fun although I was confused most of the time. Mike got to be a suspect though which made it more fun. We also ate lots of yummy food and I ate way too much dessert. It was fun to get to know Mike's co workers better and its always fun to get dressed up and go out.

Daniel and I went on a mommy and son date! We went to chick fil a and out for cookies! We also played at the playground at chick fil a. It was so much fun to spend some one on one time together and to just sit and talk to this little guy who is growing up too fast.

Daniel keeps asking when we're going to go out again! I hope soon!

Santa!

We took the boys to Bass Pro shop to see Santa again this year. I love that they do a free picture with Santa. The boys were so excited to see him. I was relieved that they asked Santa for the same things they told me they wanted a couple weeks ago :) The store also has tables set up with toys for the kids to be "elves" and product test toys. They also got to write letters to Santa and put them in the mail box. Dan ran right to Santa and hugged him and climbed into his lap. Liam was so excited until we were walking up to him and suddenly got nervous. So he didn't want to sit with Santa at first. Santa was good though and just talked to him and told him he liked his shirt. Liam warmed up fast and climbed up into Santa's lap!

We love visiting Santa!
