December activities

We've had lots of fun this month and the boys have been having fun. Just wanted to share some pictures of the random fun we've had.

Liam has turned into quite the snuggler lately. He cuddles with us all the time especially when he first wakes up in the morning and after nap time.

We had a Polar Express night too and Daniel loved staying up late and watching the train go fast and the snow.

Mike and I also met our big goal as a couple of 2017. We made the goal to go to the temple every month this year and we made it!! It's been such a blessing to our family that we make the time and sacrifice to go every month. I'm so grateful we've lived somewhere with a temple so close and so many temples to choose from. Even though we're moving to Maine and we won't have a temple close by, at least I can leave Utah knowing we took advantage of the blessings of the temple while we were here and I don't have to look back and wish we'd gone more or at all.

We also finally ate at the Cougar Grill....it was ok...the ice cream is better
The boys also helped make lots and lots of cookies and other treats during the month.

Daniel had a special Winnie the Pooh Christmas movie that we watched over the Christmas season and one night we let them watch it and have a picnic in the living room during dinner. Something they hadn't ever done :) I love that they love to sit close to each other and for the most part are loving and sweet (sometimes too loving).

Christmas Eve

I love when Christmas Eve falls on Sunday. It was so nice to go to church in the morning. We sang lots of Christmas songs but we only had sacrament meeting which was nice. Liam had fun during the meeting playing with the couple behind us. Liam even went to the gentleman after the meeting and didn't want to come back to us :)

After church we watch a Christmas movie and watched the Santa tracker. It was so cute to hear Liam ask every few minutes to see Santa.

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to watch the Grinch. So this year we made the grinch kabobs and watched the movie together for the first time. Daniel had heard the story a few times so he remembered the story and was excited to watch it :)

We also did the traditional leaving the cookies out for Santa! The boys had no trouble going to bed though. We told them Santa would only come once they went to bed and they both ran to their rooms and actually went to sleep pretty fast. Maybe we should tell them Santa is coming more often?

Mike and I didn't have too much left to do to prepare for Christmas morning so we weren't up too late.

Jammies

The boys had matching jammies for Christmas this year. They picked out Santa jammies before Thanksgiving and they were so excited to wear them!

Fun in the snow

We finally got some snow on Christmas! This year has been cold but dry so far so we were excited to wake up to a white Christmas this year. Daniel loves the snow. Everyday he asks to go outside just so he can make snow balls and then he carries one home and leaves it outside the door. Liam likes the snow but he doesn't want to sit in the snow. He just picks it up a little at a time and carries it from one side of the sidewalk to the other. Daniel and I build little snowmen too :)

Hopefully the learn to love the snow so they will like Maine :)

Christmas Eve :)

Big 3-0!

Mike turned 30 on December 21! We had a great time celebrating Mike! It was wonderful to actually have the day together. Mike is the best husband and daddy and the boys and I are so lucky that he is ours :) We love you Mike!!!

We went to Hang time jump for his birthday. Daniel hasn't gotten to go with Mike and he loved getting to jump with daddy. Liam didn't want to jump on his own and was happy to just carry a basketball around and sit in my lap while Mike bounced us :)

He wants to be like his daddy

We went to Red Robin for lunch because of course. Where else would we go for Mike's birthday? We were super nervous about how the boys would do at a restaurant. This was Liam's first time (since a little baby) and it had been a while for Daniel. The boys were awesome! They surprised us and were so good. They ate everything and we learned that Daniel likes to dip his chicken in ranch dressing, who knew? Liam also liked flirting with the lady behind us and she loved him and his big smile he kept flashing! They don't sing to you at red robin anymore but they did bring mike a sundae :)

Dan and Liam got to eat some of daddy's steak fries

Mike got some nice presents from everyone too. He just wanted a little cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes this year since we have so many other treats to eat :) We put the boys to bed and then had sweet and sour chicken for dinner and watched Star Trek Beyond.
