We took a drive to the beach this past weekend. It was still really cold and windy but we wanted to see the ocean and have Liam see the ocean for the first time. We didn't stay long because Liam was asking to go back to the car as soon as we got out but we stayed long enough for me to remember how beautiful Maine is.

outside time
Daniel and Liam love playing outside! We have a huge back yard which they love to play in and explore. We also have a hill which they love rolling down. I love watching them explore together and watching Daniel take Liams hand and lead him- hopefully in the right direction but sometimes I have to redirect.
Happy Easter
I love when Easter Sunday and general conference happen at the same time! We did our Easter bunny celebrations on Saturday and the boys loved all their stuff from the bunny and from grandma's and grandpa's.
The Easter bunny came for Mike and I too :) We got some yummy candy and great books!
The boys were so excited on Saturday morning to see what the Easter bunny had brought them. Daniel was hopping down the hall and had the biggest smile on his face. (The Easter bunny did have to go get 2 more dinosaurs for Daniel after he saw what Liam had). The biggest hit were the wind up bunny and chick. I made apple cream cheese muffins for breakfast on Sunday morning which were a hit for our Easter breakfast!
Even though we didn't have to go to church on Easter because of general conference, I put the boys in their Easter clothes anyway for pictures. Don't they look so handsome!
I wanted to make a special treat for the boys for Easter so I made a 6 inch triple layer funfetti cake with jelly beans inside! It seemed like a good idea at the time but with all the other treats we had we really didn't need the cake too so I'll have to make one again when its the only treat we have, not one of 3 plus candy.
The true reason we celebrate Easter is the Savior and his atonement and resurrection. We talked about the story of Christ's resurrection all week. When Easter morning came Daniel announced that Jesus was coming. He has had a picture of Christ emerging from the tomb for the last week and a half. I love that he wants a picture of Jesus in his room, I hope he always does.
I am grateful for Jesus Christ's atonement and resurrection and the gift that it is for me. It truly is the greatest gift. Because of Jesus I get to be with my family forever and I can return to live with Him someday.

Rhode Island
My grandma had her 86th birthday at the end of March. She had never met Daniel or Liam so we decided to take the boys to meet her for her birthday! We got up super early in the morning and drove down to Rhode Island. I really never thought I'd have to drive south to visit my grandma.
We took her to breakfast at one of our favorite breakfast places. The food was so good and Daniel kept asking for grandma to sit by him and hold his hand and color with him. So sweet!
After breakfast we drove by the ocean so the boys could see it but it was too cold to get out. Then we went to visit my Aunt Pam and Uncle Barry. The boys had fun at first running around but got tired towards the end and very cranky. Uncle Barry was Liam's best friend. He just wanted to cuddle with him in the rocking chair and I think that if he had done it just a little longer they both would've fallen asleep in the chair. It was very sweet. Daniel was a little nervous with all the new but he was sad when he found out that great grandma wasn't coming home with us.
We skipped the boys nap time so between getting up at 4am and then skipping their naps they were cranky and tired by the time 4pm rolled around and we were heading home. Daniel was not in picture taking mode so we sadly didn't get any pictures of him with great grandma and Liam was almost asleep so we didn't get any with him either :(
It was a long 4 hours home (mostly because of Boston traffic) and Liam slept for maybe 20 minutes and Daniel didn't sleep at all so they were exhausted when we got home. We had to feed them but Dan was too tired to eat so Liam ate a little and then they went to bed. We were so tired that we didn't last much longer after them. It was nice to go visit my grandma though and have her meet the boys. I'm sure it was the best birthday present :)

| This muffin was huge and he ate almost all of it! |
| They made his pancakes in the shape of dinosaurs |

Fun days
Before Easter we got all our stuff out and while we were going through holiday stuff the boys found their Halloween costumes. Silly boys wanted to be Pooh and Tigger all day!
Aren't they just the cutest!
