Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great this year and the best part was that Dan helped to do some of the cooking. Daniel helped make the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and he also helped with the apple pie and the rolls. Lately Daniel has been very into helping in the kitchen. He got to help roll up the dough for the rolls :) He's a great helper in the kitchen!

We had 2 ducks this year in addition to the turkey. Mike cooked the ducks in a new way this year and they were delicious as usual!

We set up the tables in the living room with all of the yummy food. Seriously the food was all so good! I could've eaten more but I was trying to save room for dessert but I ended up not being able to eat dessert anyway.

After dinner the boys all camped out on the couch watching the Lion King!

Even though I didn't eat dessert, we had so many yummy options! Stacey made the cherry pie and I made the apple pie and cookies and pumpkin bars! It was all so good and the boys loved the cookies and pie too :)

Liam of course had lots of fun with his Uncle Doug :)

It was a wonderful day to remember all of our blessings. One of them being that we weren't in Maine with all the rain and snow and cold. Grateful to have been with family and for my little family.

huff and puff

It was so nice not having to travel for Thanksgiving this year. We spent it with Mikes family; his mom and dad, stacey, Doug and his cousin John and his family. It was fun having 2 other boys for Dan and Liam to play with.

As per tradition we did our huff and puff on Thanksgiving morning. It was fun this year too since Daniel rode his bike. We stopped at every playground along the trail and mike and I even got to run some of the trail.

First day

Daniel started preschool the week after Thanksgiving. He was so excited to go to school and he's had a pretty good week. He really likes school and he's slowly learning the rules and routine of school. When did my baby grow up!? He looks so cute and grown up standing in line waiting to go in. Liam misses his brother though. For about 10 minutes after Dan gets dropped off Liam just says he misses Daniel over and over. Its sad and sweet.

Christmas is up

I love Christmas! This year I was especially excited and I would've decorated the day after Halloween if I could've but I wanted to wait until we unpacked and got all moved in. So we had to wait but the day after Thanksgiving everything went up!

We had a much bigger tree this year! We got it from mike's mom and dad so I'm not sure how tall it is but its much bigger than we've had before. Its so big that we didn't have enough ornaments for it so we went and bought some red balls but most of the back is empty. I've never had a tree with white lights but I love it! The boys loved putting the stickers on the windows and Liam loves the nativity.

I love sitting and looking at the tree and we're ready for Christmas!

Trip to the moon

Daniel was pretending that his tent in his room was a rocket ship and one night after mike came home from work the boys wanted to go to the moon with daddy. So the boys turned off all the lights in the house, put on coats to stay warm in space and went to the moon. They even found aliens!
