Mothers Day

The day before mothers day we went for a fun hike in calico canyon. The boys had fun but Liam had to be carried back down. They had fun picking flowers and finding rocks and sticks. we were also following horse tracks which the boys thought was cool, too bad we didn't see any.

On mothers day I got to sleep in and once I woke up the boys came running in to say Happy Mothers Day and give me my present they made me. They were so excited to show me the flowers they made me. I was also surprised when mike gave me a present because I told him not to but he got me books to write letters to the boys which I am really excited about!

Mike got me yummy apple and cream cheese Danish for breakfast! After breakfast we went for a nice walk and Daniel practiced riding his bike. He did a great job and even rode for a few seconds without any help! He was so proud of himself! After the walk we went to church which was nice and after church I got to relax for a while. Mike made me a yummy apple quinoa salad for dinner and a delicious banana peanut butter cake! It was a wonderful weekend and so relaxing. So thankful for these two boys who made me a mommy. Love them!

Mothers Day breakfast

We have a tradition of going out to breakfast the day before mothers day. The boys and I go out together and its always a lot of fun and special even though I spend lots of time with them, I hope we can keep doing this as they grow up.

This year we went to Dee's Donuts. Daniel was especially excited and kept asking if we could go back the next day and the next day so he could try all the donuts.

animals

The boys have been loving their stuffed animals so much lately. The other day I was looking through a box in liams room and I found his whale that grandma Kate gave to him when he was born. He became obsessed with it! He now carries around puppy and his whale. Then a few days later Daniel decided all of their animals should do everything with them.

So now when they get tv time after dinner all the animals that aren't packed away in storage get to watch too and they divide them up at bedtime so they can have sleepovers with all their animal friends. Good thing most of the animals are packed in boxes or they wouldn't have any rooms to sleep.

The boys really love playing together so much more now that dan is gone at preschool. We're still going outside a lot before it gets too hot. They're both too big for that race car but they love it so much that I can't get rid of it yet.

I made reeces's peanut butter cup brownies and they were so good! The boys had to try them out too :)

Handel's

We tried out a new ice cream place a few weeks ago. It was super yummy! The boys got their own bowls and Daniel finished all of it. I shouldn't have been as surprised as I was. The boys both wanted pink ice cream so they got strawberry and I got strawberry cheesecake and mike got blueberry cobbler.

Family pictures

We finally got our family pictures done! Its been 2 years and I was super excited to get them! The boys were pretty good during the shoot. We had one hiccup when the camera stopped working because it wasn't charged but our photographer was able to get another camera and we were able to finish the same night. We had mike's cousin Kaytie take the pictures for us and she did a great job!

I love that we brought teddy and puppy because if you know the boys then you know they love teddy and puppy. Thanks to some toys, treats and bubbles we got some great pictures! Thank you Kaytie!
