I am a city girl! I love exploring cities. I love the energy you find in a city. I've loved New York, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Vegas, DC and lots of others. Boston was so much fun to explore. Its beautiful and I love the history that is all over the city. We explored by trying to follow the Freedom Trail for most of it.
Daniel kept saying "huge flag!!" |
Boston is a beautiful city. I love the architecture of the city and it is so green. We spent a lot of time walking around Boston Common and it is a beautiful park. It reminds me a little of Central Park but seems more open since the buildings around it aren't as tall.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It was sunny, a little hot but with a nice breeze. The boys loved walking around the city. Daniel loved all the tall buildings, the trucks and all the construction equipment. They both loved all the people too. We found a playground and let them run around for awhile. After the aquarium I didn't think they'd like exploring the city but they were both so good! I guess we should've known..they do love being outside.
Liam even fell asleep in then stroller for about 45 minutes. Daniel was so tired but I guess he didn't want to miss anything.
I also love history so Boston was perfect! We saw lots of historical places. We saw the Old South Church, the Old North Church, Paul Revere's house, King's Chapel, the state house and the Old state house. The Old South Church is gorgeous. It was my favorite place we went. The Old North Church is more historically significant and is beautiful. The interesting part of the North Church was that people sat in little cubicles. Families or people could buy a section and that is where they sat.

Theodore Roosevelt...awesome! |
Mike couldn't leave Boston without going to the Boston Marathon finish line.
I love the city! |
After we went to all the things we wanted to see in Boston, we went and saw Harvard and went to a mall to let the boys run and play before the drive home.
We had so much fun in Boston! I can't wait to go back! Oh and incase any one was wondering...we saw 12 Dunkin Donuts in downtown Boston haha The boys were so tired by the end of the day. They passed out in the car after a while and it took a lot to get them to wake up. They were troopers though. I'm glad they like going on trips because we like to get out and explore. It was a wonderful birthday trip!
