We found out before we left for Disney that while we were there they would be starting the electrical parade after a few years of not doing it. So we got to be there for the first night of the parade!
The parade started at 8:45 and people started setting up and waiting about 2 hours before the parade. We weren't going to wait but when we found a spot right on Main Street in the front row we couldn't pass it up. Since we had about an hour and a half before the parade we ate some snacks, started making friends with the people around us and we sent Mike on an ice cream run.
We were sitting next to a woman with 2 little kids who was really nice. We also sat next to Carrie. She was super sweet and we really enjoyed getting to know her and watching the parade together. She's been to Disney so many times and her son has friends who work at Disney and he has auditioned to work there so she had lots of stories about Disneyland. So much fun! The hour and a half went by so fast and the boys loved talking to her too and playing games. Daniel was so comfortable with Carrie that he ended up sitting on her lap to watch the parade haha.
