Happy 1 month my little sweetie

Its hard to believe a month has passed! My little love is already one month old! I can't believe time has gone so quickly. I love snuggling my little peanut. He is the sweetest little boy.

Height: 20 1/2 inches

- Liam is an awesome eater! I have to pump for him but he loves to eat and I've been able to pump more than enough for him to eat. Most days I can stay one bottle ahead of his next feeding and I've been able to freeze a lot!

-  He is getting really good at tummy time. He does the super man pose a lot! He can stay on his tummy for about 20 minutes before he gets upset! He is really strong and is trying so hard to hold his head up. He can do it for a few seconds but he's almost there. 

- Liam is a pretty good sleeper too. He gets up twice a night usually to eat and most nights he goes back to sleep pretty quickly. We have had a few rough nights when he didn't want to go back to sleep but he seems to be doing better.
- Liam makes the cutest expressions. His sad face when he sticks his bottom lip out is just adorable but so is his little grin that he gives when he finishes his bottle.

- He hates having his diaper changed. He screams while we're doing it and while he is getting dressed but he calms right down once its over. Then he is back to being a happy little boy!
- Liam has such skinny legs and long fingers and toes. He also has the prettiest blue eyes!

We love you Liam! I can't wait to see how you grow but I also want time to slow down because time is moving way too fast.

Calico Basin

One of the first places we took my mom and dad was Calico Basin. Its a little park next to Red Rock but its free and it has a nice boardwalk. Its perfect to explore a little and a great place for us to be able to let Daniel run and play without getting in trouble and its not too much walking in the heat. We got to see birds, gophers, lizards and quite a few bunnies on our walk. Daniel had so much fun running on the boardwalk.

At one point Daniel got so excited that he ran off. The end of the trail had a gate on it and Dan just pushed it opened and started running up the hill. My dad ran up the hill after him and Daniel just thought it was hilarious.

Red Rock Canyon

Some might call us crazy and it may be true. Right now it is very hot in Las Vegas. It is the summer and temperatures are well over 100 most days. That doesn't stop us from going out and having fun though. Red Rock Canyon was a must while my parents were here. We had to take the boys so we didn't do any hiking but it was fun to drive around and see how beautiful it is and walk around the visitors center and explore. Daniel loved running around and playing the rocks. Liam and I waited at the lookout stops in the car because he was sleeping. We'll have to go back earlier in the morning and get out and hike around a little without the boys. It sure was pretty though.

Temple Trip

Mike and I haven't been to the temple in a few months so when my dad mentioned they wanted to go to the temple while they were visiting, I decided Mike and I should join them. We also decided to go out to dinner afterwards and do a dual celebration- my late birthday dinner and my parents wedding anniversary. It was a really fun night. The temple was so peaceful and relaxing.

We decided on dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and it did not disappoint. We had fun eating and talking. We ate so much that we had to take the cheesecake home and prolong the celebrating to the next day. Mike also told them it was a late birthday celebration for me and why and they brought me an ice cream sundae with a candle for me to blow out! It was a really nice evening and even nicer to get out without the kids!

Fun with grandma and papa

Daniel has loved having his grandma and papa here to visit. He has been getting so much attention and has loved having new people to play with. Every morning my dad eats breakfast outside after he runs. Dan loves to go outside and eat his breakfast with him and play with him. Its super cute to watch them play together.

It was really nice having them here while Liam was in the hospital for a few days too. While Kate was at the hospital with us, my parents entertained Daniel at home. Dan loves BB and so having so much fun jumping off the stairs and running to and tackling BB. It was so nice to know he was having fun and was safe while we were away with Liam.

We've also been having lots of fun going out for donuts for breakfast, playing in the pool, going exploring and playing with all of Daniel's toys. He is sure going to miss them when they leave.

Grandma and Papa Are Coming!

My mom and dad are here in Las Vegas for three weeks! They came to meet little Liam of course but we've been having lots of fun with them too. Mike, Daniel and I went to pick them up at the airport. I was very curious to see how Daniel would do. He hadn't seen my parents for 6 months so I didn't think he would remember them and he can be a little shy when he doesn't know someone. Dan and I wandered the airport while we waited. He was a little nervous when they got there. He didn't want them to hug him or anything at first. It didn't last long though. Once we started walking to baggage claim Daniel was happy to hold my dad's hand and by the time we saw the escalator he didn't even need to hold mine too!

I know they were happy to see Daniel but they really wanted to meet Liam. So we didn't waste time getting our little peanut out so grandma could hold him. I'm pretty sure it was love at first sight for grandma and papa. They've sure had fun snuggling him and its been great having help feeding him and having them around to give tons of attention.
