4th of July

We had a much better Independence Day this year than we had last year. All 4 of us were healthy so that made it 100% better. We were all ready for the day in our red, white and blue!

Cute little Audrey

We went to the Rexburg parade in the morning. The parade was fun to watch. It was pretty warm but I think the boys liked it. Dan liked seeing all the trucks and he got a few pieces of candy that they were throwing to the crowd. Liam had to ride in the carrier because he wanted to be in the parade. He was walking right out into the street. After the parade we went to Porter Park and let the boys play on the playground for a while.

After naps we had a yummy dinner. Chris grilled burgers and hot dogs. Mike and I bought some small fireworks to do with the boys. The pop its were the boys favorites. Both of them loved throwing them. They also liked the sparklers. Dan was a little hesitant at first but quickly realized how much fun fireworks are.

After we put the boys to bed the grown ups went to watch fireworks. We left the kids home asleep with Chris while Melissa, her cousins, Mike and I went to a neighbors house to watch them shoot off fireworks. The show was pretty good and it was nice to be able to see fireworks while avoiding the crowds.

Happy Independence Day!
