Rexburg part 4

Daniel and Liam both love animals so we took them to the life science museum in the Benson building on campus. Daniel's favorite animal was the bear (I know shocking) but he also liked the foxes and the lion. Liam just loved everything and thought he should be able to hug all of the stuffed animals.

HEY!!

We also wandered around campus trying to be sure we didn't miss anything that we wanted to go back and see.

Many hours were spent studying in the library

We graduated here in the BYU I Center :)
This is what the inside of the dorms looked like....only with grass
The second wonderful thing that happened on Monday was planned but it was great. Mike and I wanted to make sure we got to see one of our favorite teachers. We both took his New Testament class at the same time and I took his Pakistan class. I loved both classes and learned a lot! We set up a time to go see Brother Castro and we were in his office talking for 2 hours! Talking about everything that's been going on in our lives for the last 5 years. It was great to sit and catch up with him and to leave feeling spiritually uplifted because he shared lots of spiritual thoughts that just seemed to fit into the conversation :) Always teaching :)

The wonderful part that I talked about in the last part happened on our last day and was one of those unexpected surprises I was talking about. Brother Castro loved meeting Daniel but we didn't take Liam with us when we went to see him on Monday but we showed him pictures. On Wednesday morning we stopped by his office so he could meet Liam but he was busy so we figured oh well he doesn't get to meet Liam. Then later we just happened to be in the Hinckley building trying to see if one of my old teachers was in his office when Brother Castro came running down the hall out of the class he was teaching! So he got to meet Liam really quickly but hey it counts! It was such a fun moment!

I always loved the gardens while I was at school. They haven't changed much, the trees are just taller. They are still beautiful though and surprise surprise...Dan loved the water and throwing rocks.

We got to see quite a few teachers while we were visiting. We made sure to see Brother Dorman who was our Book of Mormon teacher when we met and I got to see a few of my old teachers. One of the only that I got a picture with was sister McManus. She was one of my best teachers along with Sister Hovey who I forgot to take a picture with.

We stopped in Idaho Falls on the way home. We wanted to walk by the falls and see the temple but we had to cut our walk short because it was really hot. We also got a picture of the BYU Idaho sign on our way out.

We had a great trip visiting friends and going back to what still feels like home to us. The boys were great and slept so well at night and were troopers for the most part. Hopefully we can go back again soon and do all the other things we didn't get a chance to do :)
