Summer trip- day 6: Old Faithful and Grand Tetons

Thursday was definitely the most difficult day for me. First of all, it was raining and cold which just makes me sad in general. We were leaving Yellowstone and going to Teton National Park on Thursday. On our way out of Yellowstone we wanted to go to Old Faithful and to the Midway Geyser Basin.

The Midway Geyser Basin was a huge disappointment. Because of the rain and the cold, the geyser pools were covered in steam which made it impossible to even see anything. So much for seeing the cool colors.

Then we went to Old Faithful. This was not a fun experience for me. Let's just say some people are stupid and rude. The geyser was cool but honestly after 45 minutes of waiting, I just wanted to leave. Daniel thought it was cool which made me happy we waited. Liam wanted to watch it for about 5 seconds and then he was over it.

After Old Faithful we just drove to Teton park. The rain stopped and the sun came out which was nice. Teton National Park is beautiful but I was a little frustrated with the design of the park. They had very few picnic areas and very little parking. We also didn't do any hiking because they had very few short hikes. It was beautiful though.

On Thursday night we were planning to stay at a KOA in Jackson Hole. It was not as nice as Yellowstone. First of all, the staff were so rude. Also, the cooking area was so crappy that we didn't even unpack the cooking stuff. Instead we just went to a grocery store and got fried chicken, sandwiches and potato salad which was yummy. The cabin also only had one trash can and no extra bags and their were so many bugs! It was also so hot and we couldn't leave windows open cause the people around us were so loud that it kept us up if we left them open. I was so happy we were only staying one night.
