Senioritis

141 days, 11 hours, 49 minutes and 30 seconds until I graduate from BYU-Idaho with a teaching degree. I think its safe to say that I have a very bad case of senioritis. It has manifest itself at possibly the worst time since I need to be more focused than ever for those 141 days. I am finishing up my senior practicum right now and while I love it....I'm exhausted and I no longer have weekends. I cannot wait until I am finished but April feels like an eternity away even though I know it will come quickly.

Good thing I have a break in 4 weeks! One month from today I will be on my way to Washington with Mike to celebrate Christmas there. I plan on doing nothing while I am there. I can't wait to have some fun and then come back and finish student teaching. I'm so ready to not have someone telling me how to teach and I find it ironic that I am being taught so many teaching and grading strategies but I'm told not to use them in student teaching since that would be risky. So....what is the point of learning them again? Anyway, only a little bit longer. I can hold on a little longer.........I think.

ps- I am now 6 minutes closer to graduation :)

Halloween Night!

Since I was dressing up for school, Mike and I decided that we would both dress up since our complex was doing a Trunk or Treat. I was little red riding hood and Mike was the woodsman. We had fun dressing up even though we didn't have any trick or treaters and the trunk or treat was lame. (More people giving out candy than taking it).

All in all though it was a pretty good Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

I spent Halloween in a first grade classroom. I am not usually a big fan of Halloween, I really think that it is only fun if you are a kid or if you have kids. So since we don't have any children, I didn't think this year would be much fun.

Then I realized that Halloween was on a Monday so I would be at Rimrock Elementary! This actually made me more excited for Halloween then I have ever been before. I LOVE my first graders! They are so sweet and so much fun to be around. It was a crazy day! We decided not to do any teaching whatsoever. So we did Halloween games, danced to Halloween music and Rimrock does a huge Spooktacular carnival on Halloween.

I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. My kids loved it! They also loves that I brought my camera! These kids posed for me all day!

This is my whole class! Their are 24 kids...including 2 sets of twins and 3 sets of cousins. Its an interesting group but I wouldn't change it! I got really lucky with this group!

These are just some of my kids who were just too cute to not take pictures of....this is before they got all messy and sticky :)

Best Halloween Ever! I was exhausted by the end of the day but it was so much fun!
