Moms Day Out

We went on a fun play date this week with lots of friends from SC. Those of us who live in Utah haven't all gotten together before so most of us made it to a play date this week at Jaker's pumpkin patch. It was great to catch up with old friends and let the kids run around and play together.

Group shot :)

One of the best parts of this visit was that Liam loved the corn pit! I was worried because if he didn't it would've been hard for me to sit and talk but he had a lot of fun and Daniel loved it as usual :)

The boys had a great time playing with new friends. Allie's daughter Ava who is just a bit older than Dan was a hit with Liam :) She was giving him hugs and being the flirt he is he was eating it up!

We went to lunch after and both of my boys surprised me. They ate their lunch but then Daniel ate part of a cheeseburger....who is this child? Allie had leftover fries too and so Liam had french fries for the first time and enjoyed it quite a bit :)

It was such a great day! It was great for me to spend time with my friends and talk to other moms and it was great for the boys too!

Temple square

We've had a beautiful Fall week in Utah this past week. So the boys and I have taken advantage and have been going outside and enjoying it. I decided to take them to temple square this past week. Daniel has a picture of the Salt Lake temple and every time he sees it he tells me that its Jesus's house and wants to go so we went.

I love all of the Fall colors everywhere and it was also fun because they were putting up the lights for Christmas which was fun to watch. We also had the place to ourselves to the most part. Apparently early in the morning during the week is the time to go to temple square. It was great cause the boys could just run around. Luckily it was warm because Liam lost one of his shoes so he was running around in his socks some of the time and it meant I got less weird looks from people.

Daniel climbed the stairs to the door of the temple and then came back down and told me that the door was locked so he couldn't go see Jesus. He asked me to open it and seemed a little disappointed when I told him he couldn't go in that day but had to wait.

Jaker's Pumpkin Patch

The first weekend of October we took the boys to Jakers pumpkin patch. Its an awesome pumpkin patch right by our house! We had lots of fun last year but this year Liam got to enjoy it too! We were expecting it to be chilly but after being there for just a bit we were in short sleeves and I was wishing I hadn't worn my boots. It was a beautiful day!

Its such a fun place! They have mazes, hayrides, yummy treats, a petting zoo, lots of pumpkins, slides and a corn pit! This year they had a new slide that has the kids landing in a corn pit and Daniel loved it! I think he would've just gone down that slide all day if I'd let him! Liam went down with me because its a fast slide and has a sharp drop at the end but he loved it too!

The boys had fun on the hayride too!

They had a kids maze too that the boys did. Daniel had fun and Liam had fun at first and was going the right way until he realized he was alone and then got upset. So we had to have Dan go back and get him. He could see us but I think it was still a bit much.

We ended the morning at the corn pit! Daniel loves the corn pit and loves to be buried in corn. Liam didn't like it very much. So Mike played with Dan in the corn and I took Liam back to the animals and we also got some kettle corn :)
