Anniversary

I can't believe we've been married 8 years already! We had a quiet anniversary this year. The day before our anniversary we got a babysitter so we could go on a date. We went and saw Black Panther (finally) which was awesome! We also walked around Freeport which I think is one of my favorite places in Maine.

On our anniversary we went to church and then just came home and relaxed. Mike got me beautiful roses and made me a yummy dinner. I love you Mike! Its been a wonderful and crazy 8 years but I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else. Here's to the rest of eternity together!

Boston temple

Mike and I made it to the Boston temple. It felt great to go to the temple again. We didn't get a babysitter so we had to take turns doing a session. We left home around 4:30 in the morning and drove down to the temple. I made it for the 7am session. It was so strange going to the temple by myself but also oddly relaxing and peaceful. It was amazing as always to be in the temple. I even made it out in time for Mike to do the 9am session so we were able to make it home in time for naps!

While Mike was in the temple I took the boys to Target and a little outlet mall and let the boys run around. We had fun playing with toys and Easter stuff.

The downside was how cold it was the morning we were there. It was also super windy. Hopefully next time the weather will be better so we can spend more time on the temple grounds.

Lately

Just some cute pictures. Liam loves having his picture taken. He sees the camera and immediately says "cheese" and gives the biggest smile. Right now he is loving dinosaurs and loves helping around the house with everything. He is so independent and is talking so much!

Daniel is getting so much better at talking. He still loves helping and is getting better with Liam most days. The big change for Dan is that we started doing pre school. He's been doing great with the program we found. We both love the one on one time everyday. Its nice to give Liam a chance to play alone and Dan gets some attention from me without being bothered by Liam.

The boys are both silly. If Daniel is doing something then I can be sure Liam with follow suite.

Bathtime

Lately the boys have been disliking baths for some reason. Daniel is always saying he'll be too cold but usually once they get in its fine. The big news was that I finally got them to take a bubble bath. For a few weeks Daniel was so scared of getting bubbles in his eyes that he wouldn't get in if their were bubbles. But once we convinced him he'd be alright we couldn't get him out :)

Library

We've been going to the library a lot lately. The boys love books and they have a fun story time twice a week! Its a great place to go when its so cold and we have lots of snow.

Lenny the moose

Maine is home to the only life size all chocolate moose. Its in Scarborough Maine and we went to see it on a weekend adventure. You can find him at Len Libby Candies. This might be my new favorite place in Maine. The store smells like heaven and the chocolate tastes amazing! We got peanut butter cups that put reeces to shame and cashew turtles which were the perfect mix of sweet and salty.

Lenny is the name of the moose and he is solid milk chocolate. YUM! He's been there since 1997. He is made of 1700 pounds of milk chocolate and the pond he is standing in is white chocolate dyed blue.

We also got to meet Lenny's friends. They have a mommy bear and 2 cubs that are made of solid dark chocolate.

New house

Its been so nice living in a house. Mike and I have lived in apartments since we got married and all of them but one have been on the third floor. By the time we were leaving Utah I was so tired of having to go up and down stairs. I started counting down to our moving date by how many times I'd have to carry groceries up the stairs. I was also tired of having to tell the boys they couldn't run in the house or jump up and down for fear of annoying our neighbors below us.

Its been so nice having a space that is ours and not sharing walls with other people. The boys and jump and run down the hall and I don't have to tell them not to just to avoid annoying neighbors. (I tell them for other reasons but that's less frustrating...I hate dealing with annoyed neighbors)

I love that the boys have a playroom and we have a guest room :) It also means I have a nice place to hang all my Disney puzzles and our paintings!

When we were in Utah we had cousins come stay with us for a night. So for one night we put Dan and Liam in the same room and after that night Daniel wanted Liam in the room with him. He asked every night until we moved to sleep in the same room as Liam. So when we got to Maine the boys started sharing a room. I was nervous but it ended up being  a smooth transition. They go to bed really easily. Normally we hear Liam talking and Daniel telling Liam to stop talking and that its night night time. Grandma Kate made nice curtains for the boys room and the playroom and we've gotten a rug since these pictures were taken.

Just a few more pics :)
