Father's Day

This was a great Father's Day this year. I had fun spoiling Mike. He's been working so hard at his job and has been away from us so much so I wanted to make it fun for him.

I had the boys help me make some presents for daddy and I got him some of his favorites treats. The boys (especially Daniel) had fun getting painted for the presents. Mike also got lots of candy and root beer from me. I also made him his traditional fathers day breakfast, German pancakes!

The boys love their daddy so much! They miss him during the long days and they get so excited when he gets home!

Happy Father's Day Mike. Thank you for all you do for us. I couldn't ask for a better daddy for my boys and a better husband. Thank you for always being willing to help me when you get home even though you've had a long day at work. Love you!!!

Happy Father's Day to my daddy too! Thank you for always being there for me. You're the best papa too. I love watching you play with them and how much they love you. We miss you!

when grandma and papa come to visit

The boys had a lot of fun with grandma and papa during their visit. We were all over Utah and I'm pretty sure my dad read every book we own to Daniel 30 or 40 times :) We ate lots of ice cream, played with all the boys toys and went for lots of walks.

The boys thought the dinosaur was more interesting to look at than me

We also stopped to take a picture in front of the cougar at the stadium. It was windy and chilly but the boys were good about being outside.

Daniel loved eating ice cream with grandma and papa at the creamery. Even though he got his own bowl, Daniel still asked papa for bites...I think he thought papas raspberry ice cream was tastier than his vanilla. So the last time we went, Dan got raspberry :)

When grandma asked Dan how his ice cream was Daniel's only response was that the ice cream was cold :) silly boy...he's gotta learn to take smaller bites :)

We celebrated all the May birthdays at Brick Oven during their visit. We were all sung to and my dad and I got birthday pie and Daniel got birthday ice cream. He was super excited but since he had eaten so much pizza he couldn't finish it. It was so sad and cute to see him try and look so sad when he told me 'no more mommy'. You know a kid is full when they can't even finish their ice cream.

Liam was a little flirt during dinner. He was waving and smiling at all the waitresses but especially with the little one year old girl who was behind us. It kept him entertained though :)

We went to my cousin Breanna's one day too. The boys had fun playing with their cousins. They jumped on the trampoline, colored with chalk and played on the slip n slide. Dan was apprehensive at first but ended up having a lot of fun on the slip n slide. Liam tried it out but by the time it was out he was so tired and cranky that he just snuggled with grandma.

Liam loved Joe! They were just too sweet!

Daniel could've jumped on the trampoline all day and night :)

family hike

My mom wanted to go hiking while she and my dad were in Utah. So Mike looked for an easy hike that would also be picturesque. He found a hike near Provo Canyon up Buffalo Peak. It was a short hike but perfect with 2 little ones and it was beautiful! The sky was clear and it was nice and warm. The only negatives were lots of mosquitoes and the last bit of the hike up to the peak had a lot of loose gravel and was too steep to do with the boys.

After the hike we went up to Bridal Veil Falls. The water was freezing but the boys still loved putting their feet in the water.

We took the boys to get ice cream too. Liam got to eat a little ice cream and really liked it. Daniel loved sitting with his grandma and papa and was very excited to get a treat with them.
