Sebago Lake

This past weekend was beautiful. After a super hot and uncomfortable week it was finally descent outside. We decided to take the boys to lake Sebago to see it and let the boys throw rocks in the water. We found a little beach with a roped off swimming area. Their were only a couple women sitting on the beach so we went just outside the roped off area so the boys could throw rocks in the water.

The boys were having a great time. They threw rocks and found sticks to stir the water. We also attracted the attention of some ducks. They thought we were throwing food and so they stayed close. The boys loved the ducks!

The water was warm and the boys wanted to get closer to the ducks. So we let them take their shoes off and walk in the water on the edge. Well that lasted until Liam splashed himself and Dan tripped and fell in. Once they were wet we figured we'd just let them go for it. Liam surprised me and was excited to be in the water. He loved it! I think a lot of it had to do with the water being warmer and also less people.

I didn't get any pictures but the boys started jumping into the water after a while. Liam stood up and just jumped and sat down over and over again. Daniel was using his hands to hold himself up and kicking his feet and Liam was trying to do the same thing. It was super cute. After a while the beach started to get a little crowded so we had the boys get out. It was a great morning! I guess we have 2 little fish!

Range Pond

Last week we had the chance to go to Range Pond. Our friend Leah texted and invited us to go. I decided to drop all the stuff I had planned to do that day and got the boys in bathing suits and we headed to the pond.

We got there first and I was nervous about taking the boys on my own since I didn't know how the boys would react to the water. Once we got all set up Daniel ran to the water and jumped in. He loved the water! He splashed and swam and didn't want to ever get out. Liam was more apprehensive. He spent the first half hour just sitting on the towel on the beach.

After a little while Liam started playing with the sand and let me take him to the water and I could hold him while standing in it but he still didn't want to touch it.

After our friends got there Dan was excited to have his friends to play with. They had floaties that Dan could borrow so he could go out farther where he couldn't touch. He was a lot braver than I expected him to be and went out with Leah and her kids. I carried Liam out and he did get his feet wet but that was it and then he was ready to go back to the beach.

Finally once Daniel came back to the beach Liam got brave and started playing on the shore and getting wet! I felt bad that it took him so long to have fun in the water but he did have fun with his friends and at the beach.
