Manti Temple

On our way home from Utah we decided to take a little detour to the Manti temple. My grandparents were married here in February 1951 and were married for 70 years!

It was a beautiful day to walk around the temple.

Funeral

We were blessed to be able to go up to Utah for my grandma's funeral. It was a very nice funeral and I loved looking at pictures I had never seen and hearing stories I had never heard. We laughed and we cried. I'm also grateful that I got to see so many members of my family that I hadn't seen in such a long time.

Grandma Williams

My grandma Williams passed away on August 31, 2021. I had such strange feelings when I found out she had passed away. A part of me was sad and a part of me was relieved that she wasn't in pain- she was at peace. Another part of me was overjoyed to know that she was exactly where she wanted to be and was happy. She was back with the love of her life- my grandpa Max.

I will miss holding her hand and I will miss her testimony. I don't think I ever visited her without her bearing her testimony to me of Jesus Christ or some other part of the gospel. I don't have a lot of memories with her but the ones I have are good. I'm glad she and Mike got to spend time together (I know she thought of him as another grandson) and I'm glad she got to meet the boys. Daniel asked at the funeral if great grandma was in heaven with Jesus now....yes she is :)

I can't wait for the day when she and I can sit and talk. I have lots of questions that I am excited for her to be well enough to sit and talk about for hours. Love you grandma!

Blackie

I want to start by saying I was in full support of this decision. I have told Mike for most of our marriage that I wanted a truck. Now....we have one!! Its Mike's new toy but I like when I get to drive it too!
