good ear
Liam loves music and has a pretty good ear for a 4 year old. He really loves Elsa from Frozen and "Into the Unknown" is one of his favorite songs. A couple days ago we were in the car and it had been a week or so since we had listened to frozen but the boys wanted music so I put in Wicked. About 10 seconds into Defying Gravity Liam yells from the back "mommy its Elsa!" So cool that he could recognize Idina Menzel that quickly on his own.
trip to grandma and grandpa's
The boys had a lot of fun while we were in Reno. As soon as we got to grandma's house they were outside in the pool and playing in the backyard. It took Liam a few minutes to be brave enough to get in the pool but once he did he loved it! The water was cold though so they kept getting out and to not shiver would bundle up in the sun. They were happy though! They also had fun going "rock climbing" along the fence in the backyard.
We also had lots of story time and the boys liked having so many new toys to play with.
Dan really enjoyed helping grandma water the grass and garden at night.

4th of July
We spent Independence Day in Reno this year. It was nice to get away from the heat and the boys had so much fun at grandma and grandpa's house.
We started with a yummy breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls and the boys also helped make yogurt parfaits for everyone.
After breakfast we watched the summerlin parade commercial which was lame and a huge disappointment but then went for a nice walk along the river which made up for it.
Then we had lunch and the boys finally got to go outside and play in the pool which is what they had been begging to do all day long! They also played with bubbles.
When we'd had enough sun we came inside for some quiet time which for the boys meant watching Toy Story 3 and making collars for their puppies out of beads.
While we made dinner the boys helped make a fruit pizza in the shape of a flag. They did a good job! All of the food for dinner was super yummy!
We ended our day with some simple fireworks. Just a couple flowers and some sparklers. Dan loved them and Liam mostly just watched from inside but he did come out for a minute and did one sparkler.
