Liam lately

Liam is growing up so fast. I can't believe he is going to be 18 months in a week! He is so busy, the sweetest kid (he gives the best hugs and kisses) and is talking all the time. He is happy most of the time and I love his big smile! He is so independent. He has to do everything himself. This makes meals very messy because he wants to do it and means things take a little longer because he has to try himself and he also likes to walk everywhere but he is good at holding hands. He loves to help and Daniel is getting better at letting Liam help too with jobs that used to just be his like unloading the dishwasher.

Liam's first word was 'hi'. He would say hi to everyone. Now his most common phrases are: 'hi daddy', 'hi santa' and 'hi tree'. He also loves to say bubble bath, mama, yeah, toes, book and ball. He tries to say lots of other words too. He also says no in an adorable way: instead of saying no he just shakes his head really quickly.

He loves to do anything Daniel is doing. He is turning into quite the little monkey. He loves the swing and the slide at the park. He still loves his puppy. He loves bath time and loves being outside. He's gotten more interested in books lately and loves going to the library. He usually chooses a book and then wants to carry it everywhere and picks it for his bedtime story until we take it back.

Liam's favorite food right now is oatmeal. He loves to have it for breakfast. Every morning he goes into the pantry and brings out 2 packets of oatmeal and gives them to me. Then he eats every bite! He also loves yogurt and chicken.

We love you Liam! We love your sweet smile and we love the way you laugh. We love that you want to be in the center of things all the time- like when we Facetime- he has to be on camera. Liam is my little shadow. He will carry his toys to wherever I am in the house. Even if that means I just walk from my room into my closet he will follow me in and sit on the floor and play until I am done. He loves everyone. He especially loves his puppy and all animals. He also really loves trucks right now.

We love you Liam!!

Bryce Canyon

We did another one of our national park trips this past weekend. This time we went to Bryce Canyon. It did not disappoint! We got up super early again (4am) and we were on our way. The only weird part of the drive was how long Daniel took to go back to sleep. He was fascinated by the moon and could not stop looking at it but eventually fell asleep.

We made it to the park in time to watch the sunrise. We were lucky that the rain stopped but it was still freezing outside. The view was beautiful though!

We didn't end up doing any hiking because it was cold and with 20mph winds it was just not great to be outside but we did drive the park and got out at all the view points. This place is beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice at all. I love getting out and seeing how beautiful this earth it and feeling in awe of its creation.

The boys had a lot of fun too. Even though it was cold at first they loved running around and throwing rocks over the fences. Daniel just ran around most of the time with his hands in his pockets and Liam was so thrilled to wear his big green jacket. He looked like a big marshmallow.

I love how different this park was compared to the others we've visited. I loved all the trees and the different colors of rocks. It was beautiful!

Happy Halloween

We had a very busy and very fun Halloween this year. We went to lots of parties and Daniel loved that every other day for a week he got to be Pooh! Daniel chose his costume a few months earlier and has been so excited to wear it. He loves Winnie the Pooh so much so it was perfect for him and he was the cutest Pooh bear ever.

I loved how excited he was to wear it and the little belly was so cute. Everything he ate was 'honey'. He just kept telling me that he was Pooh so he was eating honey.

He was being a pooh ghost and saying WOOO

Liam's costume was trickier this year. He didn't like anything that went under his chin so we searched high and low for a costume that was cute but didn't go under this chin. We had a costume all picked out and I was going to order it when we watched Spider Man. We put the movie in one night and Liam just sat down and watched. He was laughing and was so focused that we knew he had to be Spider-Man. So I ordered a costume but actually ended up finding a better one a few days later at the store. It was perfect! He was a great Spider-Man. The cutest one for sure! I loved the muscles in the costume and he actually liked wearing the mask too.

I LOVE this picture!!

The boys had so much fun this year! It was totally worth all the work and time :) Can't wait until next year!
