Pumpkin Carving

I just realized that its been a while since I last posted. School has just been so busy that I haven't had time for the blog. This weekend Mike's mom and brother Doug came to visit us. We decided to carve pumpkins while they were here. I love picking out the pumpkins and picking out the seeds from the inside and designing the pumpkin face. But I don't like to actually carve the pumpkin.

So we begin by choosing two pumpkins

The next step of course is to get the top off so that we can get the pumpkin guts out. The fatter pumpkin was easy to cut into and get the top off however the taller pumpkin was near impossible to cut into. It took forever!

The one that mike is working on in this picture was the impossible one.

Yay! The first top is off!

So the next pictures give a lovely image to my feelings of cleaning out a pumpkin. I hope you all enjoy. I did get better though after digging through the pumpkin a few times.

Ok so at this point I have been digging through that pumpkin for about 10 minutes and the majority is out and Mike's mom is STILL trying to get the top off of that pumpkin!

Its FINALLY off!! YES!!!!

Let the carving begin! Mike and his mom begin to carve their respective pumpkins. Mike's Mom was lucky enough to carve the impossible pumpkin and mike carves the big, fat pumpkin.

A few more carving pictures :)

Finally the finished product!

We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins together.
