This past weekend the maritime museum in Bath had its grand opening for the summer. The museum was really nice. They had a gentleman there who was doing wood carvings for the kids. They had 3 choices. Daniel asked for a dolphin and Liam asked for a lighthouse. The also have a replica of the light from the Portland lighthouse. The kids had a lot of fun running around the museum.
The boys got to play on a playground and painted bouys. They had someone in a lobster suit and at first both boys were scared to go say hi but Daniel wanted to be brave and went and took a picture :)
Daniel got to ride a train a few weeks ago and since then he's been asking if he could go on a boat and a plane. So while we were at the museum they were doing boat trips down the river to see the bath iron works where they build the ships. Daniel was so excited to be on a boat. He rode up on top with mike and keep pointing out the bubbles and saying he wanted to go fast.
Liam was a little more unsure of the boat ride. He started out being really scared but after about 15 minutes he warmed up to the boat ride and seemed to enjoy it.
We got to see a really cool battleship they're building. Its a stealth ship. It has a heat signature of a 40ft fishing boat.
