We got treats for the movie but the boys were too excited to wait so we ended up eating them in the car before the movie. Liam gobbled up his swedish fish but Dan ate half his reeces pieces and insisted on saving the other half as a surprise for daddy. (Mike was at a class for work)
The boys were totally wowed by how big the screen was and kept asking to go closer. We got lucky and only saw the movie with about 15 or so other people even though it was opening weekend. Yay for movies at 9:45am! Dan and Liam were the only kids under 10 in the theater. I was a little nervous but they did better than I expected. Liam actually did a bit better than Dan. I'm kind of proud that they struggle to sit through a movie that is less than 2 hours long.
His position the entire movie..unless he was on my lap |
Liam loved the movie! The only time he moved around was to get on my lap when he said it was a little scary. He will happily tell you that he loves big Simba and Nala. I also liked my snuggle buddy for some of the movie. He was a little loud though during the movie in a couple spots when he would tell me what was going to happen so spoilers!
Dan loved anything with baby simba and baby nala which explains why he moved around in his seat a little more after Hakuna Matata. He also loved leaning over to me a few times and reminding me that scar is really bad and mean.
Overall it was a good movie. The graphics are amazing and the songs are still wonderful but it was lacking some of the emotion of the original for me. The boys loved it though so it was totally worth it!
