Disneyland Day 1 (part 2)

When we got back to the park I was feeling much better but I still wanted to take it a little easy. So first we went shopping and then on our way to go get some food (since I was finally hungry) we ran into some of our favorite characters and had to take some pictures. It was so strange to not have lines for the characters. We could just walk up and take pictures. I was very happy to be able to see some of my favorites though and some new ones too.

Gaston was great!

I'm a princess- this was a real tiara by the way

We went on some of the tamer rides like astro orbiter (one of my favorites and is a 10/10) and astro blasters. I do not like astro blasters mainly because I stink at the game. Mike is great but I am just terrible.

We also found the most delicious hot chocolate at the park at Maurice's Treats right by the castle! Yum!!! Mike also got some yummy, cheese popcorn! We took some better pictures in front of the castle too- you know when I wasn't in pain.

Best one- one below is more realistic but who wants that

Next we rode Storybook Land (9/10) which was so sweet. They even had all the storybook lands decorated for Christmas! We also finally walked through the castle!

Cinderella's castle

After those it was starting to get dark so we went to dinner at the Red Rose Tavern which was Beauty and the Beast themed and I loved it! The food was pretty good but the atmosphere was my favorite. It was definitely the number one restaurant we went to as far as decorations.

Then we went to Main Street to wait for the parade and fireworks. We loved the parade. It definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Chip and Dale

Anna and Olaf

Goofy and Pluto

Lady Tremaine and step sisters

Before we left for the night we rode astro orbitors at night, the tea cups and checked out small world. We also took about a million pictures of the castle which was absolutely beautiful! The pictures really don't do it justice. Nothing like Main Street at Christmas!

Teacups at night (10/10) We both really love this ride!

astro orbiter at night- brrrr

The last ride of the night was star tours. I don't know if I was just tired from the long day or what but I just didn't enjoy it this time. Mike loved it though so yay!

The park closed at 10 and we were exhausted. After waiting a very long time for the shuttle we got to the hotel, checked in, picked a bed and passed out.

I think this picture of me during the fireworks perfectly sums up my feelings on the day. I couldn't have been happier and my inner 5 year old was alive and well!

So happy!

By the way, we kept track of our steps and the count the first day was 19,284
