East Coast Trip part 5 cont.: Newport

After we left Boston, we drove down to Providence, Rhode Island so Stacey and Doug could see it. We took them to Roger Williams Park. We found a goose who was very interested in us and we also had some Del's lemonade. It was yummy! We didn't explore much of the park but Joshua ran around and was able to get some really nice pictures of the places we didn't go.

On our way to Newport, we stopped for lunch at Subway.

After lunch, we headed to Newport, RI to see the mansions and do the cliff walk! The last time I went to Newport was when I was about 3 years old but I knew they would be amazing and I was super excited. We didn't tour any of the mansions but behind the mansions their is a cliff walk with gorgeous views and you get to see the back of the mansions. Its a beautiful town.

Please don't throw your children over the cliff

I thought this red one was really pretty and it was so different from the others.

This house looked the most normal of the mansions we looked at. The gazebo in the back was my favorite part! I could completely picture sitting out in that gazebo at sunrise and just watching the waves and eating breakfast.

And this is the view!!! Gorgeous! Stacey and I kept saying that the rocks look like they could be wood. It was so pretty.

This mansion is another favorite of mine :)

After we were finished in Newport, we headed down to Stamford, Connecticut to our hotel. The hotel was alright except that we had to pay for parking. It was a great Friday but we wanted to get some sleep in anticipation of New York on Saturday!
