Maine Wildlife Park

We spent the last morning of my parent's visit at the Maine wildlife park in Gray. All the animals they have are native to Maine. It was raining on the way to the park but we were lucky enough to get there during a break in the rainstorm and it started raining while we were leaving.

We saw deer, moose, bears, cougars, a lynx, coyote's, a fox, birds, bats and flying squirrels.

One of my favorite animals was an albino raccoon! He was adorable and Liam loved him because he thought it was a puppy :)

I know he could probably kill me but I just want to cuddle this fluffy little guy!

We saw a beaver too which Daniel thought was cool.

The park had a couple of lynx but only one was out in the open. I said it must have been his turn to pose for tourists :)

Just some other fun pictures we took of the boys being teddies :)

The grey fox isn't in the exhibit right now but we did get to see the red fox and of course we called him Todd. Liam thought he was a puppy but Daniel knew he was a fox and sang when we asked him What does the fox say?" The only problem is that he is a fast little guy and didn't want to sit still.

The moose were by far the high light of the park. They have 3 moose that we could see. One of the bulls came right up to the fence. He was huge! I was surprised to find out that their antlers are fuzzy. He was no more than 4 feet away from us. Liam was super impressed. He had been talking about how he was going to see a moose and I'm glad he wasn't disappointed.  *They are the state mammal of Maine

We also saw 2 teddies :) Daniel was happy about that but he seemed a little disappointed that they didn't look like Winnie the Pooh.

Some other honorable mentions :)

Its a great park! Our little nature boys loved it!
