Thanksgiving Day was fun this year. The kids ran around and played and helped in the kitchen. After a huff and puff, we got busy cooking. I love cooking so I think Thanksgiving is fun. I will admit though its a lot less stressful when you aren't hosting and when you can spread the work around.
We planned to have a turkey and a duck this year. Tony was in charge of the turkey and he smoked it in the treager. . Mike was in charge of the duck and he did an orange glaze on it. Both of them were yummy!
Doug made his jello and Kate, Stacey, Debbie and I worked on all the other yummy food. All the kids helped here and there during the day but Jason was a particularly special helper all day. He peeled potatoes and washed grapes and a couple other things too. He was a great helper. Ryan was a great help making the fruit turkey too.
Dan and Liam had so much fun with their cousins and aunts and uncles. Jason and Liam were buddies while we were visiting. It was so cute to watch them play together and Jason was just the sweetest.
Max was working on a special Lego project while we were there.
The dinner turned out so wonderfully. It was delicious!
We even got a successful family picture!
