Thanksgiving

We went down to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving this year. I got to do something for the first time on this trip which was to travel with the boys alone. Mike had to work the day before Thanksgiving so I left Wednesday with the boys and drove by myself down to Vegas. Thankfully its a straight shot and we hadn't had any snow. We also stopped in St. George at the temple on the way down. Daniel was excited to see Jesus's house and we also got to see the nativity.

Once we got to Vegas the boys were excited to play with their cousins. The boys loved having a yard to play in again and it was nice having so many play grounds in walking distance again. Daniel had so much fun with Evelyn who is only a year or so older and Jason who is just 2 years older. Its fun having them all so close in age. They had dirt parties in the back yard and played with Dan and Liam's stuffed animals.

Daniel had fun helping in the kitchen too. He got to help grandma make the pumpkin pie, along with Jason and Evelyn.

They spent the day playing and reading books with grandma. Liam was quiet for most of the day. He was a little weary of the new people and place but he did have fun with the stairs. He refused to go down backwards and would only walk down like the big kids did so he drove me crazy but he only fell once thank goodness.

We also went to the park on Wednesday when we needed a break from the kitchen and I wanted to get the boys out. It was an ok park but too big for Liam so I was pretty on edge the whole time I was there.

After a busy day it was time to go home and take baths and relax at the house. Daniel took a bath with Jason and Evelyn. We were just going to have Liam watch but he stood by the tub crying and just saying bath over and over in the most pathetic voice so I put him in.

After baths we played with tape and balloons before bed. The kids were doing somersaults in the living room. Liam was trying to be like the big kids and it was adorable watching him.

After the kids were in bed, we went back to cooking. Mike got there that night and I was so happy to see him.

We were able to get all the desserts made Wednesday and some of the other stuff prepped too. It was a fun day with family.
