Mike's a Doctor

It is finished!! After 3 1/2 years of hard work in chiropractic school, Mike had done it! He graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic on December 12, 2015. I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard and put up with a lot over the past few years. While he has met some wonderful people and had some great experiences at Sherman, he has definitely had his struggles and frustrating moments as well. He did great in his classes and did everything he needed for clinic while still being a great husband and daddy! I'm grateful that Daniel can have a hard working daddy to look up to but who still makes time for his family. Thank you for all your hard work sweetie! You truly deserve this degree and to be called Mike Epperson Doctor of Chiropractic!

While at Sherman Mike discovered NSA. It is a specific modality of chiropractic that is gentle and promotes healthy spine function by reducing the damaging effects of stress on the body. This really resonated well with him and allows him to help people function and deal with stress better in life. This how he will practice when he opens his office next month in Las Vegas.

We were very happy to have Mike's parents, my parents and my brother come for his graduation. Its always more fun to celebrate these things with family around. Since we were in the middle of moving, it was also nice to have help packing up our apartment and loading up the truck for the move. The graduation ceremony was at Chapman Hall in Spartanburg. Its a nice auditorium and we had great seats just three rows back from the stage. I actually had the perfect seat to see Mike on the stage and make silly faces (as doctors do ;) The graduation was nice and had some speakers who did a great job. Mike's friend Kevin actually spoke and made me cry although since I'm pregnant that's not saying much these days :) but it was very nice.

We had to wait a bit before the graduation started but we amused ourselves with pictures and it was fun to listen to the Christmas music the band was playing on stage.

Is it time to go home yet?

After listening to speakers and watching people get awards for about an hour, it was finally time for Mike to get his diploma and be hooded as a doctor!

Then he took the chiropractic oath and was officially a doctor of chiropractic!!

After his graduation we all went home and changed and then went out to celebrate at Red Robin. It was fun to eat some good food and spend time together to continue to celebrate Mike's accomplishments.

Congratulations sweetie! We love you and we are so proud of you!
